Disaster Ministry

The goals of a disaster response team or project should be those of any outreach ministry: to provide assistance in coping with the disaster, relief, recovery and reconstruction to those who survive a disaster or catastrophe.  The response must be provided in such a way as to walk the line between providing needed spiritual, financial and emotional support without thoughts of personal gain or promotion of personal agendas.  It calls for the witnessing to the necessity for Jesus in one's life through direct, personal example, testimony and action.
